This unfinished unsorted essay about Moriarty is 51 pages long currently, I really need to sort it (a lot of that is quotes and references and stuff not actual text). That could take a long time though.
Something I'm kind of obsessed with and absolutely am discussing in this essay (including how it ties in to the canon) is the really odd way Moriarty was portrayed in Sherlock Holmes (2009) and to some degree in A Game of Shadows (at least in the cafe scene) as sort of... emitting his own darkness, or sucking in light almost, in a way that seems to bear no relation to the actual light around him. It is genuinely so bizarre but the symbolism of it is wonderful.
