I had a dream last night/early this morning which was notable because not only did I remember some of it at least (I rarely ever do remember anything of my dreams), it had Moran in it (considering I am totally obsessed with him, he seems to turn up in my dreams surprisingly little) and also this is the first time ever I know of where in the dream I actually had awareness that it was just a dream.

It was about watching some sort of TV show and they did this Sherlock Holmes-based scene or comedy sketch or something, I don't know exactly but it was like a thing within a show that wasn't itself about Sherlock Holmes. Anyway Paul Anderson was in it as Moran and so was RDJ as Holmes and I don't remember a lot about it but they portrayed Moran well in it but then I distinctly remember thinking

this is just a dream isn't it

Which has never happened before that I know of, I don't ever remember knowing I was only dreaming actually during a dream before. I guess it's reached the stage of there being so little decent content for Moran that even my unconscious mind can now recognise when quality content for him isn't actually real.

I had a dream that some sort of... I think it was a TV show not a film? a sequel of sorts anyway to A Game of Shadows came out and Moriarty and Moran were in it but Moran was kind of... off? Like they'd rather misinterpreted his character and given him little to no interaction with Moriarty and also his accent was different to what it should have been (I can't remember now what he actually sounded like. I guess a sort of Birmingham accent would have had some sort of logic behind it given Paul Anderson was in Peaky Blinders (to my endless irritation since I hate that show) but I'm not really sure it was a Birmingham accent also since when were dreams actually logical anyway).
Although I still distinctly remember shouting "MY BOY!" whenever he appeared on the screen.
Also there were trains in it, which is unsurprising when last year I suddenly got hit very hard with my love for trains that had lain dormant since I was probably about... seven or something (diesel trains though. Steam trains are nice but I don't love them).

I am still very tempted to try resurrecting my old vampire original fiction project but with Moriarty and Moran and maybe some other Sherlock Holmes characters (I keep thinking about the Mary Watson is she, isn't she dead thing. What if she was attacked by a vampire and turned into one and Watson being sort of superstitious about these things kind of considers her dead to him now so she's therefore sort of both dead and alive (my vampires aren't actually the living dead, they are alive. Which actually apparently is quite a common thing in Ukrainian folklore? Unlike most folklore which has them as the resurrected dead usually. Which is interesting). Also if I ever do this it is absolutely having diesel trains in it. Let's be honest though I'm not going to have the energy to do that especially when I think it would have to be redone practically from scratch.
