Mar. 5th, 2023 01:56 pmOh my god there's a house for sale in Scotland that's a converted station house and it has its own private stretch of railway and a diesel shunter, if I had money I would snap that up in a heartbeat
(Seriously if I had millions to blow, along with rescuing horses and dogs I would buy/build my own railway and save some Class 37s and probably some other diesels that haven't already been scrapped and fund some of these diesel reconstruction projects like the ones trying to recreate a Baby Deltic and one of the Ivatt diesel 'twins' (I would so love to see them recreate the pair but that seems very unlikely to ever happen) and see if someone would be up for recreating my personal favourite butt-ugly experimental train, the Fell locomotive)
